PROJECTS

The Afghanistan-America Foundation initiated a pilot housing project in the provinces outside of Kabul. It has resulted in the construction over 170 homes to replace those destroyed the Al Qaeda and the Taliban, entirely through private contributions Under AAF Project Director Ali Seraj, the villagers were supplied with materials and technical support, then went to work rebuilding their homes. This represents only a small portion of the thousands of families without homes in these provinces. AAF hopes to use the success of this project to fund to greatly expand this project. The project areas were carefully chosen:

• Shamali Province

• Hazarajat Province

• Tagao Province

• Lowgar Province
